This spell is commonly used by artificer smiths and other who work with fire. When casting the wizard creates weaves of fire around them to absorb and hold thermal energy. It does not stop any attacks but will strip any fire damage from them, absorbing the heat they contain. This protects the smith or glass blower from any sparks or accidents. While rarely seen in normal use, the absorbing field does have its limit. The threads absorbs all the fire damage which hits the caster. This heat dispates at a rate equal to the casters Cl at the end of their turn. The field can only hold 10 + 2xCL in fire damage, any excess fire damage point are taken by the caster. .

Forced dissipation (5 ap):  by focusing on the threads and enchanting them, the wizard can force them to release heat faster than normal.   This rids the field of fire damage equal to the wizard’s caster level. Anyone touching the wizard when they are doing this must make a standard dex (reflex) save (caster’s level) or take 1d6 fire damage.
