History

The Mesta D’war had a vast domain with one of the best armies of the universe. So effective was the forces of the Battle Dragons of D’war were at conflict, and were so organized in their tactics that the very concept of war is named after the Mesta.

With the banishment of the Mesta, the domain of D’war fell into a civil war. The Dragons of D’war fought each other with the skill and fierceness the rest of the universe once feared.  It was a conflict that may have been prolonged, may have lasted eons, one that may have lasted until this day, except the D’war’va rebelled.  The dwarves, a minor slave race at that time, unexpectedly brought the collapse of the D’war empire.

One of the primary, if not the primary reason that the Dragons of D’war were so effective was their equipment. Even the lowliest of Taw’wa had finely crafted swords and armor. This was because of the army of dwarven miners, smiths and artesian. Lizardfolk, while capable, were simply unaccustomed with the long tedious work. Mesta’D’War who favored badgers and similar creatures, and added an endurance so the D’War’va could handle such harsh labors. That while the Dragons had control of the Taw’wa army, the dwarves had control of the food, equipment and construction.

In the short run the dwarves were slaughtered, in the trillions. But things changed as they learned to fight, and the equipment of the Taw’wa started to degrade. It started with some minor defensive victories, and ended with the Dragons of D’War finding it easier to pillage other forces than taking on the dwarves. The Dwarven Empire was thus born, and shortly after went to war with the Empire of the Goulden Dawn.  Ironically over a misunderstanding.

The war between the dwarves and the empire of the golden dawn did not last long. In little over a century there was peace and trade, and within another century they were close allies. And when the orc hordes swept over the dwarven empire, great waves of dwarven refugees flooded into what are now the core planets. The Dwarven and Goulden Dawn armies were able to stop the hoard, but not before the Dwarven Empire was lost. The dwarves are now part of the Goulden Dawn, so much so that many consider it to be a dwarven Empire.
