Second Night

Second Night

© sir Michael J. Wasik jr.

In whispered prayers of breaking dawn,
I seek the Path through shadowed days,
where hearts unburden and fears withdrawn,
To find my purpose in His Ways.

The sun ascends in golden hues,
In gentle rustle of the leaves,
As morning light returns anew,
and in His presence a hope achieved.

Chorus:
With heart resting in the Lord
I rise, I stand, I walk and work
It is His Will so it is His to say,
Lost to all things, even to myself
I can only follow as He leads the way

In valleys deep where doubts reside,
And trials that once felt like chains,
I wander forth, my faith as guide,
becoming the soil which love maintain.

Every step I take, a prayer expressed,
For in His arms, I’ve come to know,
In the quiet moments, my soul finds rest,
Understanding comes with a steady flow.

With heart resting in the Lord
I rise, I stand, I walk and work
It is His Will so it is His to say,
Lost to all things, even to myself
I can only follow as He leads the way

He paints the path with colors bright,
Through joy and sorrow, loss and gain,
In every shadow, there’s a light,
He writes the story, through joy and pain.

With open hearts, I share my song,
For in each kindness, love’s embrace,
In service to the weak, the strong,
I find a calling, a sacred trust.

Chorus
So let me walk where He has led,
In faith, I’ll rise, in hope, I’ll stand,
With courage strong and fears long fled,
Finding purpose in His guiding hand.

As stars ignite the evening sky,
In every moment, great and small,
And my dreams, my soul’s reply,
I find my purpose—His love, my all.
