Show Me

Show me not a beauty perfected

By adding here, and taking there

With nip and cut and tuck

But show me a beauty real

With crooked noses

And lopsided smiles

Show me not a house perfected

By marble countertops

And golden floors

But show me a home made real

With the stress of hardships

And the unity of love

Show me not a vision perfected

If men had wings

And women could fly

But show me a vision made real

With the arm of the Warrior

And the heart of the Poet

Show me not a world

Where a few are perfected

By the sacrifice of the many

But show me a Faith real

Where hearts are justified

By the sacrifice of the Son
